I have had my braces on for over a month, and I can’t believe how comfortable they are. I had braces when I was kid, and I couldn’t wait to get them off. They were the old kind with the bands around the teeth. And I remember having the wires sticking out the backs and poking me in the cheeks. They were horrible, painfull and ugly! These new kind are cool. Most of the time I don’t even think about them. I have the ceramic brackets in the front so I am not sure if that makes a difference. Also I only have braces on my upper teeth at the moment. I will probably get braces on the lower teeth sometime next year. Still get used to the routing of brushing all the time. If I eat anything, it is assured that some of it will get caught in my braces. I have a little pocket toothbrush that I keep in my car. My Braun electric toothbrush is awesome, and I have one at home, and one at work. The Waterpik I have at home is very helpful as well!
I keep looking at my teeth trying to figure out if they are any straighter then I started with. I can’t tell for suire, but I think they are. I will have to check the pictures I took when I first got the braces put on.
